The Expedition

September 19 – September 28, 2026

10 Days | 9 Nights | A Curated Archaeological Expedition

This is not a typical tour. It is an expedition into the origins of civilization.

From the first farming communities of the Neolithic era to the fortress cities of the Urartian Kingdom, this experience traces the emergence of human society across one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited landscapes.

Explore Armenia through its most significant archaeological sites—from Masis Blur and Erebuni Fortress to the Areni-1 Cave complex, home to the world’s oldest known winery.

Along the way, ancient traditions, evolving belief systems, and enduring cultural identity come into focus, offering a deeper understanding of how civilizations are formed, transformed, and remembered.

Practical Considerations

  • Select days (notably Days 5, 7, and 8) involve longer travel distances and early departures (typically around 08:00) to ensure a smooth and complete experience.
  • Certain sites, including Mendz Er Cave and Lori Fortress, require a basic level of physical mobility and comfort walking on uneven terrain.
  • Mountain routes, particularly the Selim Pass, are subject to weather conditions and may be adjusted if necessary to ensure safety and comfort.
